In this section we will aim to give the backgound to the campaign including the Court hearings, press articles and the goings on behind the scenes.

It is intended that the campaign is fully prepeared for the biggest battle yet ... the January 1st 2010 deadline when it becomes a Criminal Offence to make any reference to imperial measures in any trading transaction.

It is also intended that the pressure is maintained in order to overturn the Thoburn convictions. The strategy for this is detailed under 'Campaigns.'

Meanwhile, we continue to fight on all fronts and continue to expose all aspects of unacceptable and unaccountable governance.

The Metric Martyrs Campaign has become synonymous with 'The People' v 'The System and the Arrogant Political Elite' and by being free from any party political connections we can speak freely as 'the people.' Hopefully we have been an inspiration to others and helped them stand up and be counted. The more and Davids we have the more Goliaths can be slain...then perhaps the politicians will once again go back to putting the people before the party and publicly paid officials will act for the public good instead of against it.
